English by Accident is an interactive ebook series for English learners at CEFR B1–B2 level — but it doesn’t feel like one.

The story follows Attila, a 22-year-old Hungarian student who moves to Lyon determined to learn French and categorically not learn English. Within weeks, he meets Ellie, a British literature student, and his plan falls apart in the most chaotic, funny, and linguistically complicated way possible.

Each episode combines around 2,000 words of story with vocabulary glosses, comprehension activities, and grammar focus sections — all built into the reading experience so that the learning never interrupts the story. The comedy does the teaching. Attila does the suffering.
